Talk about a cute movie! I must admit, I didn’t actually know what this movie was about. I saw previews and thought it was cute, but never saw enough to figure out what it was about. I loved it though!
The story centers around a loving couple that desperately wants a child. Not having any luck, they make a list of what the perfect child would be and plant it in the garden. After a bad storm the couple finds a boy at their house. The little boy calls them “mom & dad”. Covered in dirt they give him a bath and discover the leaves on his legs. Fearing people wouldn’t understand they make sure to keep Timothy’s leaves covered up. The couple acts like they adopted him and finally get to enjoy being parents. This movie will have you laughing as little Timothy experiences life and warms your heart with the special connection he forms with another girl who also has a secret.
I think a lot of people will be able to relate to this movie in some ways. The desire to have children is so natural and strong in so many people but it is not always a given. I know several people who have struggled to have children including myself. It took longer than expected to get pregnant the second time around so I could relate to Cindy Green in this movie when she was hurting about not being able to have children.
I love the cast as well. Jennifer Garner plays the mother and is a wonderful actress, she really makes you feel what she is feeling. CJ Adams plays Timothy and he is just adorable! He is a great actor as well.
