I love being a couponer, in fact I’m probably a coupon hoarder. I always have so many coupons because as much as I love collecting tons of them (and sharing them with people), I hate spending hours cutting them out; especially if I have to remove them like puzzle pieces off the inserts. It’s very time consuming, but eventually I get around to it just in time for more coupons to be tossed on my table.

Slice Coupon Cutter
I was given the chance to review this neat tiny little thing called Slice that was marketing to couponers as the perfect tool. I would try anything if it cut down the time I spend having to scissor out coupons! The Slice has many great attributes, such as:
  • Ceramic blade lasts longer than steel
  • Stays sharp and never rusts
  • Built-in magnet and key-ring hole
  • Rubberized non-slip finish
  • Finger-Friendly™ Design
  • For left- and right-handers
I do have to admit that when it showed up I was doubtful. In fact I didn’t even see the little ceramic blade until I decided to swipe it on a piece of paper and then I was in awe, it sliced right through as if it were melted butter straight to the other side of my notebook and then left a mark on it! It was certainly sharp! So I sat down with my mountain of coupons and set to work, I must admit that it was a lot of fun! Mainly because I could Slice out the coupons in the center that I wanted without having to cut around everything else. It made it really easy and also did less damage to the inserts so I could donate the rest without having to cut them all out because the papers are shredded. I only suggest that you make sure to use a cutting board or tack board underneath when you are Slicing as it is a sharp little tool and will cut down onto your table.
If you know a couponer (wife, husband, friend, etc) THIS would be the greatest little gift and/or Stocking Stuffer. It saves time and could also be used for a myriad of other things! I’ve used it to open packages, bags in the kitchen, those horrid plastic ties on boxes of toys, packaging papers for shipping, you name it! It’s also a lot safer to have around than a box cutter and you can stick it on your key ring! It’s a tiny blessing that’s sure to bring a bright big smile this year.
