Not many things take me by surprise, especially when it comes to everyday products. I typically just grab whatever is on sale that will work and that’s that. Then I was challenged to try these new Viva Vantage paper towels at Walmart. I figured they were just like any paper towel…
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
First of all, unlike the mainline of Viva paper towels, the Vantage has a V-Flex Weave that helps with scrubbing. This is a wonderful upgrade on their already better product. You can still choose your size of sheet as well, which helps you have less waste. Don’t be put off (EVER) by the size of Viva’s paper towel rolls. They may not be big and bulky, but that is because you won’t use as many. Size is not what matters here!
So let’s talk messes! Notice the image above that shows two messes: one is soda and one is coffee. What I want you to notice is how the Viva Vantage paper towel absorbs the liquid. It pockets it into the weave and you can see the absorption really well on the coffee spill. What’s left behind (if anything) is only the residue that can be easily wiped away. It’s pretty fascinating to watch how well it works. For these two spills (the size of my palm) I only used 1 sheet and it took less than 60 seconds to pick up on its own.
The best part is, they can be rinsed, rung out and reused without taking away from its strength. I took 2 sheets of Viva Vantage, put an apple on the tear line and ran water over it twice. I got it as soaking wet as I possibly could and still it held the apple. So I thought, well it is an apple, but what about something heavier?
I rung out the drenched paper towel that held the apple until it was just damp. Flattened it out and then put in my Smartphone. That’s when I was really surprised! 2 damp pieces of already used paper towel was able to hold my Smartphone even after I applied weight with bounce. That sold me.
I believe a lot has to do with the V-Flex Weave. It not only allows for great absorbency, but also gives it the strength of cloth. To top it all off, they are much softer than your typical paper towel and are only beaten by their predecessor. They can take on tough jobs, but still have the softness for your most precious things.
I 100% recommend everyone run out and get these for your kitchen. Viva Vantage is going to save you a lot of waste and a lot of time having to deal with mushed up paper towels that leave little bits everywhere. Ick! And if you won’t listen to me, you should listen to Oscar. He was very happy with the results of Viva Vantage on his glass tank.
Have you tried Viva Vantage?
