~I received site credit for Bundoo in exchange for a post about the show. All thoughts and opinions are my own.~
I’m continually amazed at Bundoo right now, a website aimed at bringing parents and health & childcare experts together. I remember having my first child and the closest I could get to an ‘expert’ was my Mother and Grandmother and let’s just say that some generations raise their kids a bit differently. It’s nice to have a place to go and find information, talk to experts such as: Pediatricians, Behavior Health Specialists and OB/GYN’s and without having the hefty cost or stress of going to multiple appointments.
When Tot was little he had this amazing ability to remember scripts from movie shows, instrumental sounds and conversations we’d had which he would mish mash into his own language. At the time everything I read on echolalia didn’t fit since he was creating his own conversation by using various recalled phrases. Just the other day I had come across this video on Bundoo’s Youtube Channel and I thought to myself of how much I would have benefited from hearing this, which explains exactly what Tot was doing. It would have offered me expert advice to share with my doctor and gave us a head-start in getting him speach/language assisted programs.
There are many videos in regards to milestones, development, better sleeping habits and more; all provided by health experts in their field. On the Bundoo website, it also offers many beneficial articles, advice, a community and even a marketplace for parents Free! In fact, most of the services on Bundoo are free of charge outside of Ask Bundoo which allows an unlimited subscription for a monthly fee.
I’m really thankful to be a part of the Bundoo family, especially when it concerns my Tot. There are many times that my husband and I get confused about certain behaviors that pop up and often ask ourselves if they are due to his being ASD or if it is a symptom of a health issue. I’d love to have his behavioral therapist on hand everyday, but that’s just not possible and so this is a great second option! It allows us to make more informed decisions and most of all, eases a lot of the consistent worries that come naturally to us.
This is honestly my go-to place. I 100%, wholeheartedly recommend it for parents.
