~I received a WuzzIts sample for the purpose of reviewing. Opinions and stories are my own.~
Game night is a weekly tradition in our house and it is something we all look forward to. Nothing like a little friendly family competition to keeps things fun. That means we are always on the lookout for new games to add to our collection. Our newest card game is WuzzIts from Blue Orange Games. We already own a few Blue Orange games so I am happy to report that this one is yet another hit for our family!
The WuzzIts card game is a monster match up for players ages 6 and up. The monster characters in WuzzIts come from different families, each with a set of silly features. However, the monsters are mischievous and like to combine with each other to create a confusing cast of characters. The right moves will help you be the first to complete 3 correct monsters and win the game!
- 62 Cards
- 4 Walls
- Illustrated Rules
- Visual Perception
- Social Play
The wall is to protect your cards from wondering eyes.
There is a top and bottom pick up and discard pile. There is also a swap card that means everyone has to either swap all the top or bottom cards (based on which deck it came from) and pass along clockwise to make this all the more crazy. In the picture below the swap card was put down first so we had to re-shuffle it back into the deck.
This game takes us about 15 minutes to play each time. That is a nice time period for my 6 year old as it keeps her attention and we can play a few more rounds as well so there can be several winners. If you are curious…no…we do not take it easy on her! Her wins are that much more victorious for her when she wins…and she does. She is delighted by the crazy monsters and their fun mix ups so it always receives plenty of laughs when we play. Just another win for the whole family with WuzzIts on family game night.
