Acne isn’t an easy thing for teenagers, especially when they start going through hormones. Although I was one of the lucky ones that never saw acne until I got pregnant, my son’s Father had it really – really bad so I knew he’d lean one way or another. Unfortunately, he had gotten his Father’s genes and deals with acne on a medium to severe basis. It doesn’t help that I already had left him with a birthmark on his forehead, my mark I call it. A strawberry in the shape of a V.
We’ve tried other treatments before. Those ones where there are four or five steps that you have to remember. It’s hard enough to get a teen boy to remember to shower let alone apply four different various bottles of acne lotions, creams, pastes, masks etc. Some worked okay, not ever really giving a totally blemish free face, but it was more stressful for him to have to do all the steps than to just deal with the self-conscious feeling.
He has been really excited to try out X Out. It’s designed for teens just like him. It takes 2 min 2 times a day and that’s it! They even have little 2 min videos to watch while you are washing so you aren’t bored or get distracted… or well it is a distraction so you won’t get bored.
X Out™ sucks. Literally. We call it a Wash-In treatment because it has prescription-grade acne medicine that gets sucked deep into pores and stays behind to help kill breakout-causing bacteria on contact, even after you wash. It’s an extra-strength anti-microbial. Which really means it blasts out acne bacteria. It’s part of what makes it so easy and effective–it keeps working so you don’t have to.
So 2 min a day 2 times a day for 30 days and we’ll see how my teen freshens up! So far so good! There is even a 60 day guarantee! Although, I honestly believe, for the lack of stress and the fun that X Out puts into daily skincare for teens, this has already been worth every moment. So cross your fingers for him! I’ll be posting photos as we go!
